What's Different About Digital Citizens?

We are first and foremost, commercially-minded. Probably a lot like yourself.

 

After the most recent GFC, the marketing industry as a whole took a knock. Suddenly marketing spend became the first thing to be cut, because it was often seen as a 'luxury item' as opposed to a necessity.

 

Was this a bad thing? Not really, it certainly weeded out the bad from the good. Marketers had to shift focus, ensuring commercial deliverables were met and ROI was transparently reported.

 

Plus, the digital revolution happened. We saw dozens of senior marketers struggling to stay current as technology meant millenials were leaving University with majors we'd never even heard of in our time!

 

But here's the difference. You have to be able to do BOTH. Contemporary marketing won't work if you don't understand the basics of traditional marketing - branding, tone of voice, good creative, sound target segmentation.

 

Similarly, the basics don't work when you aren't embracing new technologies and future-proofing your business by bringing a younger market into your life cycle.

 

Who Is Digital Citizens?

Introducing our Client Director, Jodie Bennett, who leads strategy and implementation for Digital Citizens. While we utilise the skills of some exceptional contractors, Jodie owns and oversees the business.

 

A dynamic and accomplished marketing and communications professional with a wealth of experience, her previous roles include senior marketing positions with the AA (NZ Automobile Association), Stuff, and Les Mills International as well as holding GM and Senior Account Director roles on the agency side.

 

Having worked within and alongside NZ media for almost 20 years, she possesses an in-depth knowledge of all media and is highly skilled in utilising strategic marketing solutions to outperform targets.
